Nice Day For A Wedding

Wednesday the 19th of July 2023 was a lovely sunny afternoon in Liverpool, a perfect setting for the wedding of Sally & Tom. They were opting for a small ceremony in the iconic St. George's Hall for close friends and family before heading to Buyers Club on Hardman Street for dinner and drinks. Guests and groom arrived and met on the steps outside before being filtered into the ceremony room to await Sally's entrance.

Here Comes The Bride

Sally looked amazing as she walked down the aisle with her Dad, preceded by some very cute flower girls. The ceremony flew by as it always does and everything went to plan. I'm still yet to have a wedding where somebody objects; I think I secretly want it to happen one day because it would just make for really fun documentary photographs. Bit of drama! This wedding was thankfully drama-free, and Sally and Tom were duly married before heading out to the famous steps of St. George's Hall for photographs and congratulations from their loved ones.

Taxi!

Sally, Tom and I made our way from St. George's Hall and grabbed a black cab to take us to Buyers Club. I snapped some shots in the back of the cab including the details on her bouquet; a hand written note from her late Mother had been transcribed and stitched into a cloth that went around her flowers. It was a lovely touch and Sally held it with pride all day. The taxi driver told Tom "you've done well for yourself lad" and told Sally to leave her number in case it didn't work out. Never a dull moment in a Liverpool cab.

Dinner & Drinks

Buyers Club is one of my favourite spots in town for food and a drink and the outside area especially can't be beaten when the sun is out. It made for a lovely reception venue as the couple relaxed with friends and family in the sunshine before heading inside for the meal. All in all it was a short but very sweet day, I had a great time shooting this wedding and I'm so happy with the images we made. Sally & Tom are a lovely couple and I wish them a lifetime of happiness as husband and wife!
